Master of Science in Information Systems Management (MSISM)

Modern, technology enabled organizations demand professionals who can provide leadership in using information technologies to solve problems and create new opportunities in a dynamic business environment. The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSISM) program helps our students to develop their technical, management, and leadership skills for a career in the digital business landscape of the 21st century.

The Master of Science in Information Systems Management (MSISM) program at AUM is an innovative new program created to address the growing need for technology management professionals in today's business world.

The MSISM degree prepares students to become leaders and skilled managers within the realm of information systems and technology and provides graduates with a broad knowledge of IS management skills, tools, and frameworks to effectively manage organizational information systems resources.

The program is scheduled with all our students in mind, thus all courses are offered as evening classes that fit into a busy schedule. Courses are taught with the innovative teaching methods of discussions, current articles, real-world cases, team projects, and flipped classrooms.

Candidates from diverse academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applicants requesting admission to the Master's program in Information Systems Management must have:

  • An undergraduate degree (in any discipline) from an accredited institution (a four-year bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution is required).
  • A solid academic record and an acceptable GMAT score or the equivalent GRE score.

Program

Students must complete a minimum of 30 hours of course work at the graduate level, with 12 hours (or 4 courses) that are required and either 18 hours (6 courses) of electives [Option #1] or 12 hours (4 courses) of electives and either a capstone project or a thesis [Option #2]. As a full-time student the approximate length of the program is four semesters.
